UII provides on-call subject-matter experts to support WMATA’s Quality office in strengthening quality management across transit operations. Our team supports audits, inspections, investigations, and quality management system activities, and helps monitor corrective actions in alignment with applicable standards and regulatory requirements. WMATA New Car Program (STV)
UII supports WMATA’s New Car Program as a subcontractor to STV by providing engineering, quality inspection, and test engineering services across multiple railcar series. Our team supports configuration and change control, maintenance documentation, and resident quality inspection throughout the railcar lifecycle. We also assist with audits, facility inspections, and validation of critical maintenance measurements. Through rigorous oversight and coordination with project teams, we help ensure railcars meet required safety and performance standards before returning to service.

WMATA Rolling Stock Program (HACI)
UII supports WMATA’s Rolling Stock Program as a subcontractor to Hatch Associates Consultants, Inc. (HACI) providing engineering and quality management consulting across procurement and maintenance activities. Our team develops inspection protocols, supports quality system audits, and manages nonconformance and corrective actions. We also support specification management, configuration control, regulatory compliance, and lifecycle documentation. Through structured quality oversight, we help ensure railcars meet industry and safety standards across procurement and maintenance.
