Automatic Control Valve Repair

Lesson topics include:

  • Troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installation procedures on the SPV82CA Valve (Marotta), PRV58E-1 Valve (Marotta), MV224H Valve (Marotta), MV200A Valve (Marotta), VACCO reducing manifolds, Leslie control valves, P1200-3 air dry valve, Grove reducing manifolds and valves, and RM21FA-1 pneumatic pressure-reducing manifold (Marotta).

Centrifugal Pump Repair


This course provides theory and practical training in manual and symbolic FANUC Auto Program Tool (FAPT) programming for the lathe and mill machines. Lesson topics include:

  • Basic use of computer equipment; and
  • MS-DOS and Windows operating systems for Print-a-Plot and TekSoft CAD/CAM systems (including ProCAD, ProMill, and ProLathe).

The course or similar experience can be a prerequisite for the Computer Numerically-Controlled (CNC) Machine Training course.

Diesel Fuel Systems and Governor Repair


Lesson topics include:

Electric Motor Repair

  • Inspection, troubleshooting, and repair procedures for AC and DC motors and controllers;

  • Review of wound rotor motor theory and maintenance requirements as it applies to motor generator (MG) sets; and

Electrical Equipment Repair

  • Ozone depletion;
  • The Montreal Protocol;

The instructor will administer an EPA Certification Exam upon completion of the course. All personnel are eligible to take this training if their work associated with refrigerants requires EPA certification.

EPA Refrigerant Technician Certification


Lesson topics include:

  • Basic training in builder skills including carpentry, tile laying, and cement repair;
  • Interior and exterior finish including painting and preservation; 
  • Minor repairs of drywall, doors, windows, and suspended ceilings; 
  • Electrical maintenance and minor repairs of electrical outlets and interior wiring;
