Curriculum Development

UII recognizes that neither subject matter expertise, agency responsibilities, nor professional accomplishments automatically qualify a technical professional as a good instructor. We teach your talented professionals how to quickly overcome the inherent difficulties of converting their technical expertise into integrated lesson plans, and then how to share that knowledge effectively with students in various training environments.

This is the fundamental objective of UII's Curriculum and Lesson Plan Development and Train-the-Trainer courses. Our courses are offered for two days as a refresher, or for five to 10 days for more extensive training in either curriculum development procedures or instructor methods and techniques. UII provides videotaping capability at the training site, and each student receives a tape of his or her lectures and platform presentations. UII also provides training on administration and adaptation of new or established curriculum and lesson plans to distance learning media.
