Unified Industries
Incorporated (UII) was founded in 1970
by Dr. Theodore A. Adams, Jr., Mr. Herbert
E. Long, Jr., and Mr. Joseph S. Meyer.
The founders of UII shared
technical orientation in acquisition logistics, engineering, and
quality assurance. Having served in the
U.S. Armed Forces, they
believed in strong leadership,
supported by precise and intense training, to realize the full
potential of all workers.
Their military experience
also emphasized keen attention to the quality required for performing
work with the Federal government, and
thus, with all public entities.
Further, they shared a commitment to achieving racial and social
justice by employing the talents of all
people, without regard to
any trait other than qualifications for the work required. With
this foundation, they formed a management team, ideal for achieving
ground-breaking success under the Section 8(a) program under the
Small Business Act. UII “graduated” from that program in 1983.
Among the company’s satisfied
customers are the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, the U.S. Department of Interior,
the U.S. Department of Energy, the Federal Aviation Administration,
the Federal Railroad Administration, the General Services Administration,
the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Amtrak, many public transportation
organizations, and many international and commercial customers.
The company has successfully completed over 525 contracts.
The current business of
UII reflects our long-term service in Logistics (30 years), Program
Management (30 years), Technical Training (26 years),

Officer and President, Mr. Theodore A. Adams III, continues to

commitment
to continually harness the capabilities of portal technology, wireless

of work.
